Nordhausen - Due to numerous requests and Jens Michel's initiative to carry out "600 vaccinations in six hours", Schachtbau Nordhausen offered the opportunity for booster vaccination on December 17 from 8:00 to 14:00. Vaccinations were again held in the canteen on the Schachtbau site. In six hours, approximately 570 vaccine doses of the vaccine from BioNTech were administered. Almost 40% of those vaccinated were SBN employees. However, employees from other Bauer companies and numerous employees from external companies in the North Thuringia region, including Sakret, Feuer Powertrain, Kemna and Poco Domäne, also received their booster vaccination.

This was made possible by the four specialists for general medicine, Sieglinde Hoy, Costina Lihet, Jens Michel and André Hoy, who were responsible for the medical aspect and conducted the preliminary discussions. Ten medical assistants from the physicians' practices were responsible for the subsequent administration of the BioNTech vaccine.

Schachtbau, under the direction of André Ponndorf, coordinated the entire logistical process, from scheduling appointments and providing the canteen as a vaccination site and waiting area to on-site registration and de-registration. Based on experience from previous vaccination campaigns, it was even possible this time to work in four vaccination booths in parallel and thus administer a dose every 30 seconds.
