Nordhausen, Germany – In the coming weeks a hand over will take place in the Management Board of SCHACHTBAU NORDHAUSEN GmbH: after nearly 47 years in the company, 26 of those as Managing Director, Juergen Staeter will be taking his well-deserved retirement and handing over the role of Chairman of the Management Board to Michael Seifert on September 1, who has been with the SCHACHTBAU Group for 27 years and became a member of the Management Board in July 2016. “The Supervisory Board of Schachtbau Nordhausen would like to thank Juergen Staeter for his many years of service to the company and wish him all the best”, said Michael Stomberg, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of SCHACHTBAU NORDHAUSEN GmbH.
As Juergen Staeter takes his leave from the Management Board, the board will consist of three members in the future. Alongside Michael Seifert who is taking on the role of Chairman and will continue to be responsible for Mining and Plant Engineering, André Ponndorf, Head of Mechanical Engineering and Thomas Staeter, Management Director of SCHACHTBAU NORDHAUSEN Stahlbau GmbH will jointly take over the Management Board of SCHACHTBAU NORDHAUSEN GmbH from the September 1, 2019.
André Ponndorf has worked for the BAUER Group since 2003 – and he has worked directly at SCHACHTBAU NORDHAUSEN GmbH since 2017; Thomas Staeter started in 2006. “We consciously decided to fill the position internally with longstanding and experienced members of the management team,” said Michael Stomberg. “With this management, the operative areas of Schachtbau Nordhausen – Mining Works, Mechanical Engineering and Construction Works/Structural Steel Engineering – are represented. This also fits very well with the operative lineup of the Group as a whole with the segments Construction, Equipment and Resources, in which Schachtbau Nordhausen plays a very important role.”
