Erfurt - Today marks the start of the countdown to the big ceremony to mark Schachtbau's 125th anniversary on November 23, 2023 - which will be under special patronage.

On November 11, Michael Seifert, as Schachtbau's managing director but also as president of the Association of Mining, Geology and Environment, had a meeting with Thuringia's Prime Minister Bodo Ramelow.

In the MP's office in the state parliament, the two exchanged views on current political issues concerning the prospects for raw materials in the Free State and industry in northern Thuringia. Bodo Ramelow emphasized the global importance of Schachtbau, a company with a long tradition, whose development he has been following with great interest for years. In particular, "the welding seam of Schachtbau Nordhausen", as he emphasized in the conversation, is close to his heart.

As an expression of his recognition and appreciation, Thuringia's Prime Minister Bodo Ramelow will be the patron of next year's festive event.
