Freiberg - In a spectacular action on May 17 and 18, a landmark that characterizes the cityscape of Freiberg - the winding tower of the "Reiche Zeche" research and training mine of the TU Bergakademie Freiberg - was separated from its foundation by Schachtbau Nordhausen and lifted out of the shaft house in one piece with the help of a 750-ton crane. The reason for this is the partial renovation or replacement of the winding tower. The new winding tower will then be installed in the fall.
