Verden - In a joint venture together with SPESA Spezialbau und Sanierung GmbH, the Lower Saxony State Authority for Road Construction and Traffic has commissioned the steel constructors of SCHACHTBAU NORDHAUEN GmbH with the replacement of the Allerbrücke bridge on the B 215. For this purpose, a six-span steel composite bridge with a total length of 265m is to be built in Verden. The superstructure consists of two hollow boxes with V-shaped supports in the pier areas.
Work began in mid-2022 on the fabrication of the total of 30 subassemblies, which are to be mounted directly in the final position on erection supports. On-site assembly work started in mid-December with the installation of the first components.
The local conditions pose a particular challenge here, as the Alte Aller and the adjacent areas are protected biotopes: The entire Aller lowland between the dike and the city-side embankment is designated as a fauna-flora habitat area, a nature and landscape conservation area, and also as a bird sanctuary.
