Nordhausen - As a vital mineral, salt was more precious than gold for thousands of years and has been the target of salt mining since time immemorial. As part of the Long Night of Science, Dipl.-Ing. Danny Bodenstab of SCHACHTBAU NORDHAUSEN GmbH gave a lecture on "The legacy of salt mining - The long-term safekeeping of the shafts and mines of potash mining" at the Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences on May 20, 2022, starting at 11 p.m. This time, the lecture was not given to experts, but to an interested audience far removed from the mining industry. Even at this late hour, the interest in the topic was still great and Mr. Bodenstab was pleased to receive numerous questions from the visitors.
