Oberhausen - On April 06, 2021, the new pumping station in Oberhausen was run with water for the first time, thus giving the starting signal for an extensive test program in the coming weeks. During the test phase, various measurement cycles are to be run to measure the flow rates and the vibrations in the conveying system. In addition, a wide variety of operating modes will be tested and final adjustments made over the next few weeks. At the same time, the plant will be presented to the assessors and approval authorities and submitted for acceptance so that the operating permit can be issued in the middle of the year.
"The first tests went very well and we have received very positive feedback from the client and the planners," reports project manager Kay Exel. On April 12, CEO Michael Stomberg and Managing Director Michael Seifert were on site to inspect the pumping station. They were informed about the current status of the test phase.
After Bottrop and Gelsenkirchen, the pumping station in Oberhausen is the third pumping station that Schachtbau Nordhausen has planned and realized in the course of the renaturation of the Emscher river.
During the construction phase in February 2020, the film about the project was made: Short movie "pumping station Oberhausen"
