Thuringia's largest industrial area is currently emerging at the intersection of the BAB 4 and the BAB 71 near Erfurt.

The existing sewage treatment plant in Arnstadt was expanded to 100,000 PE (Population equivalent) in 2006/2007. Since May 2014, the facility has been expanded to include another 40,000 population equivalent. This ensures wastewater disposal for the further expansion of the “Erfurter Kreuz” industrial area.

The part for SCHACHTBAU NORDHAUSEN GmbH, GB Mining and Plant Technology was the complete mechanical equipment of the new system.
